Paint or color the paper plate black or buy black plates. Use the scraps of paper to make the eyes and nose and two ears. Paint the back of the plate black and leave to dry then carefully cut out two eye holes. Last glue on the popsicle stick.

This article gives step by step instructions for a cat mask created out of a paper picnic plate. Decorate the half you cut the colors you want your cat to be. Then make cat ears a nose and some whiskers out of the paper glue it to the mask. Cut 3 short pieces of black wool and glue them to the centre of the mask to be whiskers.

You will want the mask area to be a little larger than half. Cut out two circle eyes at the top of the plate. Take a paper plate and turn it over to the blank non eating side. Draw two round eyes and carefully cut them out.

Cut your paper plate in half also cut a small notch for your nose. Cut your paper plate. Punch a small hole on either side of the mast and thread through the elastic tying tightly to each hole. Cut two small holes in each side and thread through your string.

This mask could be made at pre school kindergarten or even primary school.
